Howdy SummitPosters!

I'm Todd Rutledge, co-owner and Director of Mountain Trip, a mountain guiding service that, among other things, has helped climbers in the Alaska Range and on Denali for many decades. We recently launched a new website that is an attempt to help prepare climbers for an attempt on North America's tallest peak. It is hopefully NOT an overt sales tool, but... if you're considering a guide we do know people!

https://summitdenali.com/

My goal with this is to give away the knowledge that we have learned over decades of climbing Denali. I hope it will prove a resource for anyone considering an attempt, not just for folks looking to join a guided team. Due to personal bandwidth limitations, it is primarily focused on the West Buttress route for the time being, but we plan to add technical routes in the coming months and years.

I invite the Summit Post readers to visit it and share your thoughts. My intention is that it will be a continual work in progress and we'll keep adding content down the road. It would be cool if it became user drive, so if there's something on the site with which you disagree, please let me know! If there are areas of interest that are not covered on the site - lemme know! If you have something you'd like to share, send it my way!

Thanks!

Todd, thank you for posting this additional resource for those considering the climb. This is a great complement to the video that Steve House did on the Uphill Athlete YouTube describing how to approach Denali and I've been using his book on training for these large mountaineering objectives.

Thank you for sharing.
