3 person party looking for additional climber (with lead climbing skills) for Mt Olympus. Dates are August 14-18 with possible early return on the 17th. Might be possible to move the dates to later in that week as well.

There is a short single pitch 5.4 to the summit that is recommended to have protection. Looking for a fun partner that has the ability to lead and set.

The 3 person group is comprised of two beginner mountaineers, with some rock climbing experience, and myself. I have climbed Shasta (2 summits), Mt Rainier (crevasse rescue training), Mt Whitney and Kilimanjaro.

Definitely check with the rangers to see what the snow bridges just below crystal pass are like, if they are even therebefore, you go. More often these days August is late and those crevasse crossings can be really tough.

I did Olympus early June last year and it looked like mid August. This year has been better but still faster spring melting than normal
