I'll be doing a paragliding comp in mid-July in Chelan. I want suggestions of the best 1-3 day routes that might get one up into the Cascades proper, not just in the dry hills surrounding Chelan.

If you could give me a list of your top 5 or so, with links, that'd be much appreciated. Thanks.

As of right now, Lyman Lake/Glacier is on the list.

You haven't gotten much response for this, to say the least. I'm a southwesterner who just moved to Washington last year, so I don't know a ton, but here's my two cents. I did an out-and-back to Buck Creek Pass and High Pass last year, and while it was pretty sweet up high (at least while it wasn't raining and white-out and fog), overall I found the effort-to-reward ratio rather disappointing. It was a long slog through the trees to get to good stuff. I still want to explore that area more, but I concluded that in the future I'll be looking at hikes with more immediate vertical gain and less mileage. Two that I'd like to try near Chelan are Pyramid Mountain up the North Fork Entiat and the Sawtooth Ridge area from the Summer Blossom trailhead (which starts nice and high, a rarity in Washington). There are lots of other options, but many of them would end up being substantial drives from Chelan.
