I promise I will do a trip report.
Going there is like stepping back in time 2,000 years. National Geographic calls it the most bio diverse place on the planet. It was well worth the effort.
Here is the short list of critters, the majority of them were within 10 feet of where I was standing:
Baird's Tapir, fer de Lance, eyelash viper, howler monkey, spider monkey, Capuchin monkey, squirrel monkey, ant eater, sloth, coati, turkey, toucan, scarlet macaw, peccary, alligator, spoon bill, lizards!, zebra grasshopper, bird snake, army ants, leaf cutter ants, etc etc
