Chilean 6000m Peak Info

A few years ago Banco de Chile started a program to have climbers take a metal box, with their name/logo on it, to the summit of all the 6000ers in Chile, for which they would receive a $1,000 reward.

Some friends of mine participated, though I have no other interest or experience of the program. This is not an ad for Banco de Chile! The head of BdC, Andronico Luksic, is a mountaineer, who has climbed the 7Summits and other Andean peaks.

The result is this website, that has lots of useful info on the peaks - photos, access info, GPS waypoints etc and a PDF download. In both Spanish and English. A great resource.

Thanks for the post! One of the best websites I've seen for a long while, what a source of information.
