Climbing is colombia now is safe. It is not necessary go to another country like peru or ecuador. In Colombia you have anything froms beatifull snowed peaks until the amazing amazonic Forest and incredible beach and mountains. It is just awesome. Like in anywhere here there is thieves whose want to get your expensive things, but if you are carefuly it is not a problem. Of course exist some places that can be potentially dangerous. These places are a few and this is due to these places are so far or so deep in the forest. Besides today the Colombian situation is so far safer than some years ago. So if somebody is loking foward to go to Colombia, don't be afraid and don't doubt because if you do you were missing one of the most beautyfulll and awesome places on the earth..
