I will be in Mumbai in December for work and would love to visit the foot hills of the Himalayas. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go that time of year? I'm assuming I wouldn't be able to go too high in elevation due to snow but if there are any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Unless you go to northern India, December should still be a good time to trek.
