New Rules for Mountaineers

Nepal is considering to ban lone mountaineers and restricting people with complete blindness, double amputation, as well as those above 75 years of age, from climbing peaks, including Mt Everest, to minimise accident risks on the Himalayas.

Xu never said he saw Irving. He only said he saw an "English dead". Many think that it was Mallory he saw, while others thing Irving. Xu only spoke Chinese, so the conversation was mostly with hand signals. He was killed shortly after the conversation, so no one could follow up on what he saw.
