Books by US Highpoints 50-completers

by vanman798 » Mon Dec 13, 2021 5:02 am

I can only find three books written by U.S highpoint completers.

1.https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1933251441
2.https://www.amazon.com/Great-Quest-Fifty-State-Points/dp/1481776703
3. https://www.amazon.com/All-Fifty-Journey-Highest-Point/dp/B09M5HLDST

Anyone know of any others? I'm not interested in guide book, nor books on the subject written by someone who didn't actually do all 50 US state highpoints. Thanks!

OK. OK.

Continuing from our FB discussion …

Mario Locatelli (highpoint completer #129) wrote a book. The handstand guy. LOL. Didn’t read it.

As did Charlie Winger (highpoint completer #78). Great read …

Also, Jack Freeman (highpoint completer #31) created the Adirondack/Catskill Fire Tower Challenge and wrote a guidebook about it. A book by a 50 state highpoint completer but not about the 50 highpoints. Read it and completed the challenge.

About 50 pages into your book, BTW, and really enjoying it. :D

Oh, and then there are slightly less well-known offerings like Between a Rock and a Hard Place by Aron Ralston (highpoint completer #137) and The Impossible First by speed record dude Colin O’Brady (highpoint completer #304). :)

Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster by Jon Krakauer means a lot for me. I advise all who'll see this message to read it.
