Bob,
Where is this "route" located in relation to the Babel Tower Trail/LGT junction? When I climbed Babel Tower I did what you did and headed left around the tower to some easy cliffs to reach the "summit ridge". I am heading back in a few weeks and would like to try a different route - maybe this one. Thanks

If you go to the right instead of to the left you will see this route. Perfectly OK to climb it. But I wanted an easier route. This spot is easy to find when you get to Babel Tower. Just trend to the right and you'll see it.
