Great shot! Congratulations on photo of the week! My apologies for not sending pictures to you when we climbed Rigi. Cathy and I had a great time with you in your beautiful city and are totally envious of Lucerne and your beautiful surroundings. I have a few fun shots of you I will be sure to scan soon and will finally get them off to you. Until then- Happy Climbing!

scanning / contrast

This is a very nice image, good composition and feeling of action. One comment is that when you scan images (or have it done?) be critical of the inherent contrast that will build up and make sure the slide or negative is clean (trash in sky area). If you do get a scanned image that has some problems, clean it up and or make adjustments in Photoshop, or a similar application.

Old scanner

You are perfectly right. I scanned this slide years ago and just uploaded this photo when the Diamantstock was created. I never expected that you folks would like this photo. Yesterday I had an even older photo scanned by a prof with better results.
