Great desert hike but way too popular.
Nothing like a January evening hike! I could get used to this. Perfect night with only a few people along the route and an empty summit.
It reminded me of a slightly less steep, slightly shorter version of Monadnock. Urban hiking is quite convenient though.
Outstanding fun before breakfast, with magnificent views.
Very crowded. Go on a weekday.
Fun and tough for the distance! Started at 7:30 back to car by 9:15 and off the Camelback. True summit just next to where most people hang USGS marker visible.

I first hiked Squaw Peak in about 1982 when working for a company with a division in Phoenix. While short, I love the intensity of 1,000 per mile so close to Phoenix. Over the years probably hiked it about 2 dozen times. Last time was with my wife in October 2015. We are in the process of relocating to Phoenix from Palm Springs and look forward to regular visits.
Very interesting trail. Crazy busy though!
Fun little hike. Close to the city.
Hiked on Christmas Eve afternoon it actually was not too busy. Good views and nice short scramble to the true summit.
I can see why they say this little peak is one of the busiest, too many people! Not a peak to find peace and quiet. Fun and steep though.
Fun urban hike.
Visiting the area, quick trip up the trail. Class 2 scramble to reach summit. Benchmark was badly worn.
Lot of people here.
Nice hike while spending the weekend in Phoenix for Mother's Day.
Hiked after camelback that with the fact it got much hotter made it a little tougher. But a decent hike very rocky with plenty of trail runners. Hit up true summit which is not difficult despite almost no one even attempting at least when I was there
I love how these mountains are in the middle of the city. This was a quick hike but it's a lot of stairs so it was hard! I was up in about 27 minutes and my legs were burning. It was a little hot since it was the end of june ;) but there was a nice breeze. I drenched my shirt before we started and I hardly noticed the heat on the way up. By the time we got to the car though I was burning and ready to cool off. I definitely want to do this one again some time, maybe in Nov or Dec.
