Pigeon Spire

Pigeon Spire

Looking back at the descent from the first summit from the start of the ascent to the 2nd summit. Interesting ground, not as difficult as it appears. West Ridge, Alpine II, 5.4. August 26, 2006. Bugaboo Provincial Park, BC, Canada

Looks quite solid

Surprising that the original summit fell off.

Re: Looks quite solid

I concur Mark, that is why it is such a recommended route by climbers at all levels, the superior rock. That south face is sheer verticle in places and the summit leans in that direction thus gravity won out I guess. Cheers.

Alluring

For me, the clear lines in the smooth surrounds would give great pleasure. Never climbed such rock.
