Climbed from Glacier du Brenay
Outstanding views from the top, one of the best summit panoramas I've seen. We climbed up from the Brenay Glacier the previous day. Getting past the icefall at the bottom of this glacier was more complicated than we expected (steep, loose, rockfall danger, etc.). It seems that the Serpentine Glacier is the preferred approach these days.

Route Climbed: Normal route from the Vignettes hut Date Climbed: 29 juli 2005
We start at 2.00 hours at Arolla in the night. We go up and everything goes ok. 400 hm from the summet we have to get back for bad weather coming in. When we leave the hut on the way back the thunder starts. No summit...
Route Climbed: Starting from Cabane des Dix Date Climbed: August 12th 2004
Great view from the summit, although we couldn't stay longer than about 5 minutes due to severe wind and a temperature already below the freezing point. We rested a bit lower on the way back to Cabane des Dix and had a great view on the Dent Blanch and Matterhorn. The climb itself was doable, but sometimes the slopes climbed were rather steep.
Route Climbed: from Cabane des Dix Date Climbed: 7 june 2004
Climbed as part of the Chamonix-Zermatt haute route (cabane des Dix to cabane des Vignettes). I have no idea about the view - we reached the summit in near zero visibility (but our guide and the GPS told us we reached the summit :-)
