Classical ski trip from Refuge Nacamuli (or Col Collon) via col collon, col de eveque and back. About 7 hours
A nice sunny day, the first expedition with andrea.
Nice views from the top. Nice and easy glacier trip.
Outstanding views from the top, one of the best summit panoramas I've seen. We climbed up from the Brenay Glacier the previous day. Getting past the icefall at the bottom of this glacier was more complicated than we expected (steep, loose, rockfall danger, etc.). It seems that the Serpentine Glacier is the preferred approach these days.
Perfect weather. Trailbreaking in deep snow.
Descent to Vignettes hut.
The traverse Pigne d'Arolla-Mont Blanc de Cheilon is a long trip, but very beautifull.
Climbed the normal route from the Dix hut. A fun climb up on a great day with excellent visibility.
Very nice climb not difficult at all. It was a bit cloudy but on the summit we had a nice view over the area including the Matterhorn.
Nice easy snow plod to the summit in good weather, first Alpine route.
We start at 2.00 hours at Arolla in the night. We go up and everything goes ok. 400 hm from the summet we have to get back for bad weather coming in. When we leave the hut on the way back the thunder starts. No summit...
Skied up to the summit as part of the classic Haute Route 6-day itinerary. You reach this on the second to last day before arriving Zermatt.
An enjoyable second Swiss summit for me with an interesting descent in very soft snow to the col near to the Vignettes Hut!
Great view from the summit, although we couldn't stay longer than about 5 minutes due to severe wind and a temperature already below the freezing point. We rested a bit lower on the way back to Cabane des Dix and had a great view on the Dent Blanch and Matterhorn. The climb itself was doable, but sometimes the slopes climbed were rather steep.
Climbed as part of the Chamonix-Zermatt haute route (cabane des Dix to cabane des Vignettes). I have no idea about the view - we reached the summit in near zero visibility (but our guide and the GPS told us we reached the summit :-)
This was our first higher mountain, the weather was excellent, conditions on glacier good, overall quite easy and encouraging.
Very nice tour with great variation.
Last 50 hm are tricky, mixed condition....
fine end of a 4-days-trip. Good conditions - easy ascent and perfect firn snow almost down to Arolla
No real difficulties. I love the shape of this summit. We enjoyed a good time with friends.
