Nordkante
Rappelled the Nordkante for logistical reasons. Not recommended. Made for a long day. If you can, I highly recommend going down the italian side instead. It was still an amazing day though!
Great route, great ambiance. Descent via Nordkante, which is not very comfortable. No snow in the route, descent and approach, so no mountain shoes needed(end of august!).

Route Climbed: Cassin Date Climbed: 8 Aug 2003We left the Sasc Fura hut at 4am, started climbing at 6am. Reached the ridge at mid-day, summited 12:30pm. 4 1/2 hours to descend the Nordkante.
Perfect conditions. No snow and the top chimneys were dry.
Fabulous route.

Every time we tried the route the weather turns bad at the day we want to climb. But I will not abandon !
