very impressive ski tour with good conditions at the final ascent (we used crampons and rope for descent). Many had skied down the steep south side couloir, but we had too heavy rucksacks and too little courage...
Started very early at the Wiesbadener Hütte which was really crowded to get a headstart. There was still enough snow so we could get easily from the Vermunt glacier to the rocks of the Wiesbadener Grätle which is a nice rock climb (I-II). Easy traverse of Ochsentaler glacier to the Buinlücke. The final part of the ascent was almost snow and ice free. The short grade II chimney can be avoided. Descended from Buinlücke via the heavily crevassed Ochsentaler glacier to Wiesbadener Hütte.
Piz Buin was one of my first summits. I climb it during a mounteneering course.
nice peak !
