I'm looking for somebody to help me break into winter/ice/snow mountaineering or just a climbing partner. My climbing buddies aren't into winter climbing.

My goal this Winter/Spring is to do some easy/moderate snow and ice mountaineering routes around Tahquitz, Suicide, and San Jacinto. I've practiced using crampons and ice axe on non-technical terrain. I would like to move up to some class 4 and easy class 5 stuff. Ultimate goal... ascending San Jacinto via Snow Creek.

As for rock climbing, I'm leading 5.8 trad and can follow/TR 5.10b/c. I've done several multipitch routes on Tahquitz and Suicide. I'm certain I'll be going to JTree a bunch of times this winter so give me a shout if you want to meet up for that.

I live in Idyllwild and have a pretty flexible work schedule if given enough notice. If you come up to Idyllwild for climbing, I can give you a bed and food. I live less than 1/2 mile from the southern end of Ernie Maxwell trail so I've always got access to Tahquitz, even in heavy snow before the roads are plowed.

	I'm still climbing and looking forward to the winter season. I'll be available to climb in early-mid January and afterward. I've been thinking of doing the north side gully of Tahquitz a few times for some class 3 work. I've never been to Baldy or Gorgonio and I now have a car so that is possible now. I'm still wanting to do snow creek if I can get a reliable partner. I'm also willing to go up to the sierra this spring for some climbing. Personal Message me any replies, I forget to check this page often.
