Description
I will be in the Sierras for most of July (I'll be back up in the Sierra in mid August also). I'm currently most interested in doing long Alpine moderates in a light and quick fashion, but I enjoy any day in the mountains or on good rock, so cragging or just a long day scrambling in the hills are great too. I plan on basing myself around the Mammoth Lakes area, but I'm willing to travel north or south or into Yosemite to climb. I have been visiting the Eastern Sierra annually for climbing/backpacking/fishing/snowsports for around 18 years. I'm fine with leading, and I have gear.
Here are a smattering of routes/areas I'm interested in climbing:
-North and Northeast Ridges of Lone Pine Peak
-North and West Ridges of Conness
-Anything on Bear Creek Spire or in the Rock Creek area
-Palisades area stuff
-Whitney area stuff (routes on Whitney, Russell, Williamson)
-Minaretes, Ritter and Banner
-Alpine snow/ice(as they come in) climbs
-etc. . . you get the idea.
This list is nowhere near comprehensive, and I'm always up for day cragging in Tuolumne and other areas. Let me know if you want to climb!
