Description

I am looking for an experienced Mountaineer to assist us with climbing Gannett Peak in late July 2012. Right now there looks like a group of 3 men who have various mountain experience, but limited snow and glacier work (we live in Florida, a little more difficult to train down here). Personally I have summited the highest 5 peaks in the contintental US, but only Mt. Rainier on Glacier. Our preference will be the Elkhart route/Bonnie Pass route, a bit shorter than the Glacier Trail Route, but probably not easier. We need someone who is very familiar with the Dinwoody and Gooseneck traverses from Bonnie Pass. We anticipate this trip to be in the 5-7 day range. Anyone interested?

	I am not the experienced climber you are looking for, but I have some glacier experience (Rainier and Hood last month) and other high hike (Whitney, Elbert, Humphrey, & Wheeler last year) experience, and I was hoping you might be willing to have another climber join your group. Either way, please let me know whether or not you were able to get the expeienced climber you were looking for as that is likely to be something I will need to do as well. Thanks. John Niedermeier
