Half Dome this weekend?

Hi everybody. I come from Slovakia but am now for 10 more days in Stanford for reasons of my Phd. I have free friday and the whole weekend and since I'm for the first time in the USA, I'd like to do some nice/famous hike. I'd like to join somebody with similar goal for this weekend from the Bay Area. I don't insist on Half Dome, if it's too overcrowded and if it's not worth it, I'll be happy to listen to any advices and adjust the plan and go somewhere else. I don't have a car, but as far as I acknowledged, everybody here has one, so please if you share the plan, please pick me up :) Cheers, Tomas.
