I'm rounding up my co-workers to hike Cloud's Rest from the Happy Isles Trailhead to Tenaya Lake, but I think that most of them (or probably all of them) won't be in any mood to hike Mt. Dana the next day. Hopefully we'll get a few Summitposters to join us for Mt. Dana via the Standard Route. Of course, you're also welcome to join us for Cloud's Rest as well.
Regarding the Cloud's Rest hike (morning of Sat., 9/15), we will be driving two cars up to the Tenaya Lake/Sunrise Lakes trailhead and leaving one car there. Then we will drive the remaining car to the Happy Isles trailhead and begin our hike to top of Cloud's Rest, then continue down the northeast ridge to the Tenaya Lake/Sunrise Lakes trailhead where we will pick up the car, then drive down to Happy Isles trailhead to pick up the other car. Hope to start hiking by 8:00 a.m. at the latest.
Regarding the Mt. Dana hike (morning of Sun., 9/16), I'll be leaving from Evergreen Lodge (off of Highway 120, west of Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite) early in the morning to get to Mt. Dana. Hope to start hiking by 9:00 a.m. at the latest. Might hike up to top of Pothole Dome afterwards if there is enough time and I feel up to it.
