Description

Hey all, Just moved up near Sequoia National Park (Foothill entrance) having a hard time finding Hiking partners and wanting to move into Mountaineering. I am not an expert and dont have vast knowledge of the Sierras but love to get out there, but the wife says not alone. Hit me up and get out.

Hey,

I too am looking to get into mountaineering. I have very little experience however, am planning to take some climbing seminars this year. One is actually an into to mountaineering course on Alta Peak up near Lodgepole to get a little training and experience under my belt. Also planning climbs up Shasta and Whitney in the August and September time frames..

I love to get into the high Sierra whenever I can, and rarely have a partner. I'm fairly new to mountaineering and just a beginner on ropes, but I'm good at scrambling up moderate 3rd class peaks in summer or winter. I want to get something akin to Morrison's West face, mountaineer's route on Whitney, or maybe Montgomery peak.
