Description
I am more of an armchair mountaineer than I would like to be. I have hiked/scrambled in New Zealand, Washington, Colorado, and in the Smokies over the past 5-10 years. I am looking for guys and gals who would like a partner for training or trips. My climbing skill level is beginner, and I REALLY want to find some people who wouldn't mind me tagging along to learn. I live in Nashville, but love to travel on the weekends. Bouldering, climbing, alpinism, ice climbing, hiking, etc.

| Hey man I'm Trey. I'm 21 and go to school at Wofford College in Spartanburg SC, originally from the NC. I am planning a trip for early June to do a couple 14ers in Colorado. As of right now I am going solo, but that doesn't exactly sit well with my friends and family and I'm not sure how cool I am with the idea either. I would not call myself an expert by any means, but I have been in the woods for as long as I can remember. Last summer I took my first mountaineering trip to Colorado and did some backpacking and climbed Longs Peak while I was out there. I would be interested in doing that again as well as other peaks in Colorado. If it sounds like something you would be interested in then let me know. | Posted Jan 6, 2009 10:27 pm |

| Sounds like a fun trip. I did a similar trip to RMNP this past July. Unfortunately, I'm getting married in May so won't be able to take the extra time off, and I hope to be on a honeymoon in early June. I went to Clemson, but I don't know anybody still there to refer you to. If you still go make sure to post your photos, I would like to see them. You might also join the American Alpine Club. There is a southeast chapter, and I think they are more active in your area than mine. They also have a facebook group. | Posted Jan 15, 2009 10:29 am |
