Description

I am more of an armchair mountaineer than I would like to be. I have hiked/scrambled in New Zealand, Washington, Colorado, and in the Smokies over the past 5-10 years. I am looking for guys and gals who would like a partner for training or trips. My climbing skill level is beginner, and I REALLY want to find some people who wouldn't mind me tagging along to learn. I live in Nashville, but love to travel on the weekends. Bouldering, climbing, alpinism, ice climbing, hiking, etc.

Hey man I'm Trey. I'm 21 and go to school at Wofford College in Spartanburg SC, originally from the NC. I am planning a trip for early June to do a couple 14ers in Colorado. As of right now I am going solo, but that doesn't exactly sit well with my friends and family and I'm not sure how cool I am with the idea either. I would not call myself an expert by any means, but I have been in the woods for as long as I can remember. Last summer I took my first mountaineering trip to Colorado and did some backpacking and climbed Longs Peak while I was out there. I would be interested in doing that again as well as other peaks in Colorado. If it sounds like something you would be interested in then let me know.

Sounds like a fun trip. I did a similar trip to RMNP this past July. Unfortunately, I'm getting married in May so won't be able to take the extra time off, and I hope to be on a honeymoon in early June. I went to Clemson, but I don't know anybody still there to refer you to. If you still go make sure to post your photos, I would like to see them. You might also join the American Alpine Club. There is a southeast chapter, and I think they are more active in your area than mine. They also have a facebook group.
