Description

Looking for partner/s to do a challenging 2-day hike to the highest point in SoCal....San Gorgonio. The hike will begin on saturday morning at the San Bernardino peak trailhead on rt. 30 The objective is to make it to the top and camp on the summit, then come back down sunday morning. The route is 17 miles long and about 5500 feet of elevation gain. Once San Bernardino peak is summited (10600ft) the rest of the hike is a traverse of ridges connecting 6 peaks on the way to San Gorgonio peak (11,500 ft). No snow and ice gear is needed. I have a great map as well. contact me at mountainroad@gmail.com or call my cell 516-9675776 for details.

I saw your posting on SummitPost about a San Bernardino to San Gorgonio Traverse. I am planning on doing the same as the first leg of a trip in three weeks. Please let me know what conditions you find on the mountain. If there is any ice left up there, etc... Good luck and climb safe!
