South Face  Sucess!

Climbed up the south face with six others. There are good scrambling opportunities on the face. Cold wind!

What Everyone Else Said  Sucess!

This is the best view I've seen of the needle and the shield as well as the area North of the shield which is pretty sparse and secluded. Watch the descent here. The west side is class 4ish in places (actually class 5, but you can avoid it if you are careful). The safest way down in the east ridge which is class 3...but the base is heavily covered in foliage. If you drop off the west side, you foliage is less dense and you have a straight shot for Rincon peak. Took me 30 minutes from 8300 to Rincon Peak.

long ago  Sucess!

First date is a guess. Went over all the bumps on the ridge, first with my wife, then with friends from work, then...

Great Winter Climb!  Sucess!

Had a great day with about a foot and a half of snow on Rincon Ridge. I wished I had brought along an ice axe for the summit ridge as it was very rocky and covered with snow which made balance tricky.
