Hell of a Day  Sucess!

Started from the White Pine Trailhead and made good time up to Red Pine Lake. The plan was to hit a notch just north of Thunder Peak and work our way over to Rainbow Peak. I planned on one hour of easy scrambling to the summit but it turned into 3 hours of highly exposed 4th and even one or two sections of 5th class scrambling. One of the toughest ridges I've encountered in the Wasatch. Awesome views from the top though! We went down the north ridge after summitting the peak and that was a much better route. We did encounter bushwacking but it was a much faster way down. Overall it's a great ridge if you're confident in your scrambling abilities and want to get away from the crowds but plan plenty of time to do it. For reference, I'd say the ridge is a bit tougher than the Devil's Castle traverse. Overall a great day though!
