Re: On The ThresholdThanks Brenta. Diemberger, in his book Spirits of the Air talks about an "enchanted" forest, not too far from here as the crow flies - the Barun Valley, I have been there. He recovered from illness there prior to a second and successful attempt on Makalu. "Enchanted" is a good word to describe these places, they are magical.

Re: one of the manyPS. The should have been CSU not CDU. The columns in that list are: year, status (attampt, ascent), route (often blank), journal, year of publication, volume, issue (often blank), page. It is peak number 906 in their database.
