For a great read and excellent photos! I'll tell the Cascades that you say hello:)
Ah, thank you. Nice climb of Stuart by the way - you are smart to be there before all the snow in the Cascadian melts! I love how awesome the mountain looks as you get glimpses on the Teanaway Road.
Great article! And beautiful pictures!
I am just now reading the Herman Buhl biography were he talks over and over again about the amazing climbs he put in the Wilder Kaiser!
Yes, isn't that neat? I just read that too. He actually mentions this climb briefly, it's where he has to go second on the rope, and below the main summit his partner falls when a plane screams through the Ellmauer Tor. It's very interesting that a glider flew through there while we were climbing. I'm glad it didn't make Josef or I fall in a similar fashion!
Really enjoyed the TR and photos. Nicely done.
thanks Martin! Hey, are you belaying at the top of the "Aries" chimney in your profile pic?
Yep, that's it. Good memory.
Really good - interesting read n photos.
thank you...I hope to go back soon for a tryst with the "Meat Bank" :p
At about that point in the story you really got my attention!
Got my attention too...perhaps I was on autopilot for a while...but the scales were removed from my eyes :D
