Prospector's View Trail

"Rock on ancient queen,
Follow those who pale in your shadow.

Rulers make bad lovers,
You better put your kingdom up for sale ..."

Hikers negotiate switchbacks along the Prospector's View Trail beneath Superstition Mountain.

The rocks are the remnants of a giant caldera that erupted approximately
25 million years ago.
