Prusik Peak from Gnome Tarn

Prusik Peak from Gnome Tarn

Classic Enchantments Photo #1 (CEP#1) -- Gnome Tarn was still partially covered with snow in mid-July. Prusik Peak is really the west end of the ridge known as The Temple. You can make out the High Priest (right-facing figure) where the right skyline of Prusik meets the Temple skyline. The summit of The Temple is further to the right. The trick is finding Gnome Tarn. We took the trail to Prusik Pass, and then scrambled back south along the ridge, crossing it about 300 feet above (north) of the tarn. After taking our CEP#1 shots, we found the path that descends steeply down the ridge and across the broad inlet to Perfection (Rune) Lake to meet up with the Prusik Pass trail.

Nice Picture!

I like the shimmering reflection of the mountian in the still melting lake. Good shot!

What a gem!

Both the composition you framed so well, and the peak itself! Good job
