Very nice photo and very interesting Mountain. Greetings Henryk
Thank you very much. This is our favorite mountain and those two peaks are very "photogenic".
If your face was in the picture, then it
would be even more photogenic and
beautiful. :))) - Larry of AZ
Very nice photo from magnificent Durmitor. Congratulations for the Photo of the Day and thanks for sharing.
Really beautiful photo of magnificent Durmitor!
Da Marija, mozda te Andrej i ja sretnemo negde tokom naseg osvajanja crnogorskih nebeskih pilastara.
Thank you very much, Andrej. I appreciate that.
Bice nam zadovoljstvo. Poslacu vam moj broj na PM.
Pozdrav iz NK.
Thank you Vlado!
Its like lesson of geology.
Yup, I wanna know more. It is limestone? I would like a little structural history and or sed/strat info is anyone knows.
Dan - this place caught my eye several months
ago here on SP. This is being referred to by
geologists as a KARST region. There's some
dolimite, but mostly limestone. Many
underground streams are cutting through the
limestone. There is a canyon in this area
that is second deepest in the world. Don't
know why the "stratified layers" are standing
on end - could be the result of tectonic
forces and faulting. Here's a nice LINK!
thanks for sharing always great shots of beautiful mountains.
Thanks for helping Barbara. I don't know much about geology (especially to write in English).
oh...wasn't trying to help. just being silly actually. quoting homer simpson's "mmmm, donuts"
Limestone and karst areas always look so appealing to me. thank YOU submitting so many good quality pictures. I love "your" mountains.
Wow! Really miss Montenegro and Durmitor especially! I have to go there again!
You wouldn't miss Montenegro this summer?! :)
Would miss it for the world!:-)
