Fun ridge run
It's odd for me to run into dozens of people in the mountains anymore. As soon as I left the main trail I didn't see anyone though.

Nice trail run
Hiked/ran these two from Silver Creek before heading over to Redcloud and Sunshine. Reclimbed Redcloud after Sunshine on the way out. Great views along the way. Wildflowers were amazing this year. 7:15 car to car.

nice day out
Nice day out with Duchess. Started at Silver Creek - deep sections of snow, had to go over the slopes of Cooper Creek Peak (and whatever is the the unranked 13er) and then do a long traverse. Redcloud slopes were layered with tons of deep snow, and some avalanche slides, which I tried to avoid. Luckily, beautiful day, warm and sunny. Duchess got really tired.
Hiked PT 13,832 and PT 13,831 from Silver Creek-Grizzly TH. Tagged PT 13,561 and PT 13,632 along the way. Nice stroll, beautiful weather, gorgeous views.
Long day but easy hiking, nobody else on trail after it split to Red Cloud/Sunshine.

Winter Pair
Climbed the pair in winter with Steve, Jamie, Jim and a guest appearance from Aaron. We started at the bathroom at the base of Bent Creek, followed the creek to the split and up the south ridge of PT 13632 (false summit between the peaks), then out to 13832, traverse to 13811, and back down our ascent route. Some long dry stretches and warm temps, didn't seem like March, more like late April.

Combo with shuttle
Went up from Silver Creek over both Pts and down to Williams Creek with Britt, Bob & Kate, and Kelly (and Tommy caught up to us). Gorgeous day! Pretty easy. And thanks to Kelly for the car shuttle.

Centennial finisher!
Climbed the pair from Silver-Grizzly Gulch TH. Bypassed 13811 on the way out and hit it on the way back to finish Colorado's Centennials! Kind of an anti-climactic finish but the easy hike allowed the enjoyment of much wine on the summit! Kevin & I hung out up there for nearly 2 hours!

january on 13,811
kicked off the 2009 winter season by hoofing it up 13,811's south ridge. fortunately, the morning's gloomy weather gave way to a bluebird afternoon and fantastic summit views of a dominant uncompahgre and other local peaks.

PT 13811
Finally headed back to climb PT 13811, took the Williams Creek route up, almost completely snow free, just a few small sections in the trees where it was NE facing, the rest of the route was dry. Not bad for late October! Great trail, would be really nice during peak fall color!

We climbed 13811, 13632 & 13832 from Williams Creek TH. We stayed at a pay campground next to the trailhead where sundown meant it was time for all the RVs to fire up their generators!
