Ptarmigan Wall Goat Trail

A view southwest to Ahern Glacier and cloud-shrouded Ipasha Peak. Bad weather is moving in; rain is minutes away, and snow fell later, giving the higher peaks an August coating. The trail goes around the shoulder on the left. This is about the southern end of the most-exposed section of the "main" goat trail. Glacier National Park, MT-- August 2009
