Puhia Pele - view west
The view west from Puhia Pele in March 2007. The slope at left is the lower part of Hualalai. It descends inexorably to the ocean. Puhia Pele is just a vent on its NW flank. Kona International Airport is out this direction down by the water but you can't see it due to the haze.
