Pyramid Mountain Landslide

Pyramid Mountain Landslide

Looking across the major landslide slope which the Pyramid Mountain Trail currently passes through. After the landslide occurred, the slope has gradually eroded away. Workers have been able to construct a small path across this slope... with rocks on the side and above, and dirt below. However, this is somewhat an illusion because under that dirt are more steep rocks, and it is only a matter of time until that dirt erodes away. If or when that happens, the trail will either need to be completely re-routed or closed. To help give an idea of how long and massive this landslide slope is, try finding our hiking partner (Paul) on the other side. Zoom in, if needed. Photo taken on May 4, 2013.
