North Ridge
From camp at Pyramid Lake I climbed to the Pyramid/Hooker saddle and then up Pyramid's north ridge. Fairly pleasant boulder hop/scramble. Crappy weather.

day 4 of 6
Great day climb. Big blocks to play on. Went up the main ridgeline and down the face, recommended. Love the Winds!

Almost
Got within 30-50 vertical feet of the summit. It had hailed off and on lightly for 20 minutes and we thought we could shoot for it as we had seen no sign of lightning yet. My girlfriend looked at me and nearly screamed as my hair was standing on end and then my poles started to spark. You could FEEL it in you body. Needless to say we turned and ran down the boulders and off of the ridgeline. Made for a nice loop 20 minutes later when it cleared up and we had a fine lunch at Pyramid lake. and then back to our camp. Originally were going to do Musembeah , but were pretty pooped from an adventurous route on Bonneville the day before, Then thought Hooker would be an easy consolatin with a nice view if we just did the scramble, then the weather at the pass didnt look good enough for that. You never know in the Winds, but that is part of what makes them so adventurous. Overall we had fine weather and aside from a night only got rained on on the way our for a couple hours and thankfully not while near the top of Bonneville as almost happened.
