Climbing Quandary Peak on Memorial Day '08 was a little breezy!
We left the trailhead early enough to where the snow was hard enough to walk on without much effort without snowshoes. The wind and snow combined for a nice sandblasting effect and limited visibility at times. The summit ridge for the last 200yards had knee deep powder, but it wasnt too bad. The snow on the descent was a little slushy, so if you leave the trail head and time after noon on a warmer day I would wear snowshoes.
