Raven Rock

Jeff Neal putting the finishing touches on Nevermore 5.9 with Matt Johns belaying on a beautiful spring afternoon here in the Red River Gorge. Nevermore is one of the few climbs on Raven Rock. The railing seen across the top was installed in the 70's when hang gliding became popular here. It was outlawed thought when two people died in one day launching off the left end in separate accidents. I was just a teenager then, but can still remember it being on the news that night.
