That sounds familiar. We have so many mountains in the east where the true summit is just a point in the woods and the views are from overlooks.

You've really got me curious about Chunky Gal Mountain now. I might have to climb it just to say I was there!

Yeah, I play a lot of "um, where is the summit?" when I'm visiting your back east peaks. Still, I love the Appalachians. Those mountains are so old, so special...the plant-life just enthralls me.

Go check out Chunky Gal Mtn! We had a long day and just didn't have the fuel left in the tank, so to speak, to check for the high-point, but I hope you do and hope you post a mountain page for Chunky Gal, too!
