The name of the bug

in dutch they are 'wantsen', or at least related to them. In english, I think they are 'stink bugs', because of the strong smell / taste they produce when threatened or eaten.

These guys look like they're in the process of creating some more stink bugs by the way :-)

Nice photo, good colors..

Cheers,

Rick

Red-black Shieldbug

Shieldbug is a polite name for Stinkbug. http://whatsthatbug.com/stink.html

You have a knack for insects in context photos.

Re: Red-black Shieldbug

Hmmm, maybe passion makes them careless and easier to see.
