I've been to this canyon several times, mostly when we lived in Utah.

Saddle Soar
A good friend treated me to an all day horseback trip through several Red Canyon areas after a week of hiking. This was not your family trail ride. It was intense and thrilling and a great way to see this area.

Cool spot
Enjoyed the trail from Coyote Hollow to Thunder Mountain and then did Losee Canyon to Casto Canyon the next day. Beautiful area.

Treat for the eyes!!!
I've been here just a few times. The first time was in 1974.
The colours seemed to be brighter the second time around.
A great way to go is Bryce, then continue to Grosvenor Arch
and down the Cottonwood Canyon Road. 4X4 like a land rover
is recommended, as the weather can change in summer.

arches trail
have done a couple of the shorter hikes in red canyon, usually on the way to or from bryce, kodachrome, or places beyond in grand staircase/ escalante. one of my favorites in the arches trail- really short but something like 20 arches in a mile. there's a geocache along the way as well. i've grabbed a few in the area.

Beautiful place
Stopped by here for what was going to be 2-3 hours that stretched into an all day adventure. Extremely beautiful place that gives Bryce a run for its money in terms of colour.
I've been here many times. I usually stay at the campground before visiting Bryce and Escalante. I've done the longer trails of the Cassidy and Rich loop and the Casto and Losee trails. I've also done many of the short hikes.

Unexpected treasure
This place blew me away as I had to stop time and again to take in some of the amazing formations. I particularly enjoyed the two tunnels that were carved out of the red rock and the way parking is provided along side the road so you can stop and not have your car out into traffic. I'm sorry I hurried a bit to get to Bryce as I would like to have spent more time exploring this neat area. Next time....
