Retreating Marmolada Glacier

While under the guise of vacationing in Lucca with family and friends, I got up at 3am to drive 4 1/2 hours across Italy - with all of the mountaineering gear that *accidentally* fell into my duffle bags - just to climb this hunk of Dolomite, and this single shot made the whole crazy effort worth it. I saw my whole day in front of me :)
