Swollen Face
Great views of the Cottonwood Ridge, the girl I was coming up with stepped on something and a bunch of bugs stung her face, at first I thought she was overreacting, there were some little pokes, but then the next day her face was all swollen and she couldn't see out of her left eye. Nice hike though.
Again Feb. 08, fun snowshoe more fun going down the south ridge until my snowshoe broke 100 yards from the car.

I had been to Dog Lake many times and wanted to climb Reynolds Peak this time. The parking lot was filled with bow hunters but no hikers except for me. I didn't bring my snowshoes because I wasn't sure how much snow was up there. I ended up breaking trail all the from Dog Lake to the summit. I had great weather all day. This is a good winter climb.

I had planned on getting to Gobbler's Knob, but I forgot which trailhead was closest in Big Cottonwood Canyon. I ended up finding Dog Lake, and going up Reynolds to try to assess where I was at, and where I needed to go. I didn't end up getting to Gobbler's Knob that day. Reynolds did offer a spectacular view though, and it was pretty easy to get to.
