Rhododendron Tunnel on Gabes Mountain

On the descent from Gabes Mountain toward the Cosby trailhead, we got a pleasant mix of rhododendron "tunnels" below with some fall color above. This is a pretty typical example of the pleasures of hiking in the Smokies. Mid-November 2007.
