Ridge Access

The trail eventually exits the right bank of the channel and ascends the upper terrace, wrapping around the headwaters and gaining the NE Ridge at a saddle. The trail gets faint at places, but some very good people have left cairns and trail tape along the route. We missed this junction on the ascent and continued up the gully until eventually exiting the left bank & charging straight up to the saddle where we rediscovered the trail.
