Rest in Peace Old Smoothie

On Friday 7 August at 8:11 PM, Old Smoothie, beloved by Sawtooth climbers and hikers, passed from this world into the world of climbing memory following a 4.2 magnitude earthquake.  First climbed by a team led by Fred Beckey, Old Smoothie played host to countless other climbers for decades until meeting its sudden and unexpectedd end.  Old Smoothie will be missed.
