Rocca Malatina

In the northern Appennines, Modena sector, there is a nice, very picturesque rock, called Rocca Malatina. Today it is a regional parc and climbing in the rocks is forbidden. But there are a few nice hiking trails which surround the rocks and also one more demanding path, visiting the top areas. Also the environment is very nice. In farms, so-called agriturismi, you can also buy local products. Even only driving by is a nice experience, perhaps the best time is afternoon, when the rock faces are in late sun light.
