Pretty views
Hiked with Surgent. We followed Sarah's directions and it worked out well, however the drive on FR-219 to the turnoff of the lesser road (not signed) was only 5.3 miles according to my odometer. The hike itself was surprisingly easy and we didn't encounter anything beyond class 2. Views from the summit are really nice.

Well, after pretty much stripping the paint off my Jeep (and almost losing a long-bed Chevy pickup in a wash-out), we enjoyed the incredible views from the top of Rockinstraw Mountain. The canyons surrounding this peak are just lovely.
