From Stelvio Pass
After climbing Monte Scorluzzo earlier that day I decided to hike (race) up Roetlzpitz as well. Maarten waited for me at the Dreisprachenspitze Hut/Restaurant.
Fine views from the summit towards the Ortler, our ultimate goal for the week.

Second summit on that day. Many groundhogs at Dreisprachenspitze.
I stopped at Stilfserjoch on my way back from a hiking week around San Caterina Valfurva and went up the Rötlspitze. The weather could have been a bit better, but it was a nice and quite simple hike all the same. Same as around the Pizzini and Casati huts, where I had been just before, one finds remains of World War I all over the place, particularly on the plateau behind Dreisprachenspitze, this time in form of hundreds and hundreds of empty and completely rusty food cans...

Trafoier Höhenweg
Climbed the panoramic Trafoier Höhenweg and made a detour to Dreisprachenspitze. From there climbed the traverse to Rötlspitz. Wonderful panoramas the whole day.
